At the end of the February, when the snow has disappeared, we once again set off to Jura. This time to Złota Góra in Ojców.

Today in Złota Góra there is a parking lot, whose purpose is to free Ojców and all the roads in the vicinity, from parked cars. Phot. Małgorzata Kot

We continued field verification of data obtained from Airborne Laser Scanning, so called LiDAR.

We focused on the area of Złota Góra, one of the highest hills in Ojców National Park. During interwar period a health resort functioned here, of which the remnants of today are historic villas, i.e. Villa Zosia. It turned out, that thanks to use of LiDAR technology, we were able to reconstruct the plan of the resort and find places where old villas, non-existent today, were.

Beside verification of the plan of the health resort and location of the old villas, we also discovered a site connected with acquiring flint and production of blanks. It seems that Sąspowska Valley  still hides a lot of interesting finds and sites.
